Welcome!

You have found our family's own website. Dan has been the Senior Pastor to a wonderful congregation in a beautiful Northern California town. I enjoy numerous activities, but I think I could list my job title as "chauffeur", since driving our kids and their friends to & from church, school, etc. can take up most of my afternoons.

Our two children, now teenagers, are an enormous source of joy in our lives and continue to be two people with whom we thoroughly enjoy spending time.

Currently, we are preparing for a new chapter in our lives---God is leading us on a new adventure to serve Him someplace else. We don't know where yet, but it is clear that He is moving us in a new direction. We have loved faithfully serving this church for 18 years, but it is clear that God has a new ministry for us. Dan's resume is located at www.DanMitchum.com

Our two dogs, Max & Millie, are Miniature Schnauzers and provide lots of fun, cuddles and entertainment for all of us. The picture below is not one of ours, but looks a lot like them.   ~Sue

Purpose of this site

  • A homepage for our family that holds favorite site links
  • Directing friends to sites or information if we reference it
  • Giving our church family a chance to get to know more about us

Worth Checking Out!

I just found a free software program that I'm very excited about and want to tell everyone: "PC Prayer Reminder software". It is a small, but well done program that organizes my prayer requests, brings them up soon as I turn on my computer in the morning, and can pop up reminders throughout the day. I found it at c/net's www.Download.com, but you can also download directly from the developers at www.PC Prayer Reminder.com

Pastors' Wives Thriving in the Fishbowl

Sue also runs a support website for wives of pastors. This has been a special project since 2003, providing encouragement, mentoring, insight and support to wives in ministry all around the world. Our largest area is the Message Board, which at times has had more than 1200 women registered. Please feel free to share it with a ministry wife you know. It can be found at  www.PastorsWives.org
